St Vincent’s Clinic Research Foundation hosted its annual Bench to Bedside event at The Mint, where we proudly announced our 2025 Grant Recipients. This flagship event celebrates the groundbreaking research projects we support and their impact on improving patient outcomes.
The evening featured an insightful discussion with leading medical researchers from St Vincent’s Darlinghurst Health Precinct. A/Prof Mayooran Namasivayam, Head of the Heart Valve Disease and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute, and A/Prof Venessa Chin, a medical oncologist specialising in targeted immunotherapy, explored the transformative role of artificial intelligence in healthcare. Their discussion highlighted how cutting-edge technologies are advancing treatments for cancer and heart disease while paving the way for preventative care and early diagnostics.
If you missed the event or would like to receive a recording of the panel discussion, please reach out to katrina.smith@svha.org.au.
We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended and to our generous donors for their ongoing support. Congratulations again to our 2025 Grant Recipients!
“What excites me is a line from Alan Kay: ‘The best way to predict the future is to invent it.’ I believe that instead of being passengers, we should be drivers of change.”

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of this country, including the Gadigal people of the Eora nation – whose lands on which this Clinic is built, and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters, and culture. We pay our respects to their Elders’s past, present and emerging.
